RADIO MOSCOW: nuovo LP e date in Italia

Dopo aver firmato con Century Media, i Radio Moscow hanno finalmente annunciato (a tre anni dall'ultimo Magical Dirt) l'uscita del loro album di debutto con la nuova etichetta e quinto della loro carriera.

Al momento si sa solo che è intitolato New Beginnings e che uscirà il 29 settembre.

Il trio californiano sarà contestualmente impegnato in lungo tour europeo che toccherà anche l'Italia per tre date:

- 9 ottobre al Traffic di Roma

- 10 ottobre all'Altroquando di Zerobranco

- 11 ottobre al Blah Blah di Torino

HORISONT: nuovo album ad inizio 2017

Nuova uscita per l'inarrestabile band svedese degli Horisont: previsto infatti per il 3 febbraio sotto Century Media il loro quinto LP About Time.

TRUCKFIGHTERS: V (Review)

STONER

L’eloquenza del titolo non lascia dubbi, i Truckfighters si presentano con in petto i vessilli del loro quinto parto, edito da Fuzzorama Records/Century Media.

Il precedente Universe aveva rappresentato un discreto passo in avanti, non ancora sufficiente però (almeno per il sottoscritto) ad elevare i nostri nel gotha del panorama Stoner. Discorso simile va fatto anche per il quì presente V. Album che (ne va dato atto) fa notare ulteriori piccoli passi in avanti, ma visto il potenziale inespresso sino ad ora era lecito aspettarsi qualcosa di più da tutti e sette i brani presenti in scaletta, non solamente da alcuni.

TRUCKFIGHTERS: Annunciate le date del tour Europeo e nuovo videoclip

I Truckfighters, pubblicano il videoclip ufficiale di “Calm Before The Storm“, brano proveniente dal nuovo album "V" che sarà pubblicato il prossimo 30 settembre per Century Media. 

In occasione dell'uscita del disco che celebra inoltre i quindici anni di attività della band, sono state annunciate le date Europee del nuovo tour, tra cui due tappe in Italia ad ottobre insieme ai We Hunt Buffalo.

TRUCKFIGHTERS: Nuovo accordo discografico con Century Media Records, in arrivo il quinto disco

La stoner-rock band Svedese Truckfighters, ha recentemente firmato un accordo discografico di distribuzione con con la Century Media Records.
L'etichetta discografica Americana si occuperà assieme alla Fuzzorama Records, label fondata dalla stessa band; di pubblicare e distribuire il nuovo e quinto full-length in uscita il prossimo 30 settembre.

HORISONT: Contratto discografico con Century Media Records

La band hard-rock Svedese Horisont, annuncia ufficialmente di aver firmato un contratto discografico con l'imponente etichetta discografica Century Media Records.

A distanza di un'anno dalla pubblicazione di “Odyssey”, la formazione è pronta a rientrare in studio quest'estate per lavorare sul nuovo album che probabilmente sarà pubblicato nel corso del 2017.

HEXVESSEL: When We Are Death (Review)

PSYCHEDELIC ROCK

Una cerniera a separare due parti profondamente diverse dello stesso corpo, ad indicare il cammino oltre il quale gli Hexvessel hanno proiettato i loro pensieri, la loro scia evolutiva che segue traiettorie diverse, traiettorie imprevedibili e dannatamente coinvolgenti.

Sono mutate le carte in tavola, dagli esordi dei primi due lavori sotto Svart Records al nuovo corso, distribuito dalla Century Media, ma targato Secret Trees, loro etichetta personale, ultimo tassello verso una libertà espressiva che dal folk di Downbearer e No Holier Temple li ha portati all’implosione verso i colori autunnali dei sixties, alle prese con una psichedelia sagomata e viscerale.

Si parte con Transparent Eyeball capace di ricalcare la parabola psych rock tracciata più recentemente dai Bigelf, altrove spiccano le evoluzioni Doorsiane della titletrack, o le ombrose Earth Over Us e Mirror Boy. Cosmic Truth abbraccia soluzioni malinconiche dal forte retrogusto gotich/dark profondamente debitore agli Anathema di Judgement, è una psichedelia crepuscolare quella donataci dalla band di Helsinki, sfuggente in alcuni frangenti, fragile come la natura umana che sa crogiolarsi in tenue venature prog di King Crismoniana memoria come in Mushroom Spirit Doors.

HEXVESSEL: Pubblicato il video di "Cosmic Truth"

Gli Hexvessel hanno pubblicato il video della traccia "Cosmic Truth", tratta dal loro nuovo album "When We Are Death" in uscita alla fine di Gennaio per Century Media.

INTRONAUT: A novembre The Direction of Last Things

Uscirà il 13 novembre per Century Media Records il quinto album in studio degli Intronaut, The Direction of Last Things.

Registrato in soli quattro giorni, la band ha dichiarato di aver deciso di adottare un approccio più istintivo alla propria musica, senza fossilizzarsi troppo sul perfezionamento di ogni singola nota.

THE SHRINE: Pronto il nuovo LP

L'irresistibile power trio californiano The Shrine ha annunciato ieri la pubblicazione del loro nuovo studio album Rare Breed, che sarà disponibile a partire dal 30 ottobre.

Si tratta del loro primo disco sotto Century Media Records e, a giudicare dalla copertina, promette tematiche alla Full Metal Jacket.

Nel frattempo è stato anche fatto uscire il primo estratto dell'album, il videoclip di Death to Invaders. Ovviamente vi raccomandiamo di alzare il volume prima di vederlo.

HEXVESSEL: Firmano per Century Media e nuova cover di "Gaia" dei Tiamat

La band psychedelic folk finlandese Hexvessel firma un nuovo contratto discografico a livello mondiale con l'etichetta Century Media che curerà la pubblicazione dei prossimi album della band.

Ecco le dichiarazioni del cantante e chitarrista Mat McNerney: 

“In many ways the new Hexvessel songs are a new beginning for the band. The time we have invested in this next album has been very carefully spent. So we have become very focused in what we want to do and want to deliver something really special for our fans when it comes to releasing the next record. It’s very important music for us, close to the bone and nestled right up next to our hearts. We were looking for a relationship with our record label to be the same as our bond with each other in the band. It has to be real and it has to be a shared experience! The way we met Jens and the wonderful people at Century Media was at a very special time for us and them, and we felt a unique connection that has grown ever since. That they totally understand and truly feel for what we’re doing is really important. After all this is magic art we are creating and is from a personal place. We believe that with Century Media we will have the support and encouragement to take our music further than ever before. Deepest thanks to all our fans and friends without whom we are nothing, our publisher and friend Andy Farrow at AMF for his good faith, the guys at Svart Records for bringing us up and holding our hands from our inception, and hails to the good folks at Century Media for believing in Hexvessel and heralding a new dawn for us. EPHEL DUATH: annunciato lo scioglimento e nuovo progetto in arrivo

E' una notizia risalente a qualche ora fa quella che vede gli Ephel Duath mettere la parola fine alla loro attività.

Di seguito le parole di Davide Tiso, fondatore e principale compositore della band (il comunicato ufficiale si può leggere sulla pagina facebook a questo link):

"Today I decided that it’s time to put Ephel Duath to rest. This beautiful beast has been my life companion for a very long time, I cannot see it struggling any longer and I decided to kill it myself. This post is a way to make peace with the idea itself and, I guess, a way to keep you part of this.
For many years I felt conflicted with the idea of sharing Ephel Duath's music with its small public, now it’s time to let go. Ephel Duath changed shape and color many times, crossing different genres and musical styles, toward the end though, it started looking too much like me and I didn’t feel like giving it to you any longer. This is the reason why this has to end, because this band mattered so much to me that I didn’t get any joy in letting it be heard and dissected by you any longer.
As I’ve never really found a comfortable place for myself in this society, my music has always experienced the same problem. Ephel Duath never quite reached a large public and it never really exploited its potential. I suffered for that but what I know is that I’ve tried my very best to make this band work and I stand behind every record we released.
When I started Ephel Duath I was young, naive and tremendously ambitious. Now I’m 16 years older, and still naive enough to think that songs have their own souls, I just poured too much of my own in them, and it has been brutal to let them go. A part of me was let go. A big chunk. In the end, I’m not sure it was worth it.
I’ve a gift that I cherish deeply, I can talk through my guitar. It’s easy for me to distill my feelings through riffs and everything I say that way has more weight and impact than my own words. In order to keep honoring that in the future, Ephel Duath needs to die today and so it will be.

Se il gruppo padovano ci saluta, un altro è pronto a fare il suo ingresso sulle scene: si tratta dei Gospel Of The Witches, progetto fondato da Karyn Crisis (ex cantante degli Ephel Duath) coadiuvata, non a caso, dallo stesso Tiso alle chitarre e al basso. La line-up è inoltre composta da due musicisti d'eccezione: Ross Dolan degli Immolation alla voce e Danny Walker degli Intronaut alla batteria. Dopo due intense campagne di raccolta fondi condotte su Kickstarter e Indiegogo (potete visionare qui la seconda dove sono presenti un po' di foto e informazioni), la neonata band ha recentemente firmato per la Century Media che pubblicherà l'album d'esordio prodotto da Jami King (Beetween The Buried And Me, The Contortionist). E' possibile ascoltare la prewiew di "The Ascent", uno dei tredici brani che andranno a costituire il disco, presso questo link.
