DOOMSDAY SURVIVORS IV: Sabato 19 Dicembre a Busto Arsizio

Rob e Miky dei Sidhe supportati anche quest'anno da CG - Comunità Giovanile (Busto A.) presentano la quarta edizione del Doomsday Survivors Festival, come per ogni edizione, le band scelte sono band che non hanno ancora suonato al festival! Headliner saranno i milanesi Black Oath che hanno appena pubblicato il loro terzo album “To Below and Beyond”, già acclamato da fan e critica! A loro si affiancheranno i Crimson Dawn, epic doom da Milano, gli Psychedelic Witchcraft, promettente occult rock band da Firenze e i King Bong, band psychedelica strumentale da Milano!

KING BONG: Pinng - Or the Underwater Adventures of a Young Cthulhu

PSYCHEDELIC - DOOM - STONER - INSTRUMENTAL

Ci sono delle band che hanno la capacità di stupirti ad ogni nuova produzione, questo è il caso dei King Bong che tornano dopo l'ottimo Space Shanties del 2012 e lo fanno presentando "Pinng - Or the Underwater Adventures of a Young Cthulhu" via Mother Fuzzer Booking .

Il progetto è decisamente ambizioso ma, senz'ombra di dubbio, ben riuscito. Un' unica traccia di trentacinque minuti suddivisa in nove movimenti che vede Pinng come protagonista, un giovane Cthulhu (figura Lovecraftiana a noi tanto cara).

Il Re Bong mette nuovamente in evidenza la sua grande maestria nel trasformare in musica gli effetti del fumo, suddividendo all'interno dei nove movimenti una consistente serie di sensazioni.

INSTRUMENTAL - PSYCHEDELIC - STONER

Il Re Bong è tornato, ebbene sì.....e torna con un full-lenght nuovo di zecca sotto Moonlight Records che mette sul piatto degli appassionati del genere un nuovo tassello importante nel panorama psychedelic-stoner italiano. 

I King Bong  tornano a distanza di due anni dall'uscita dell' Ep "Alice In Stonerland" e tornano in maniera davvero prepotente confezionando un album di sei tracce per più di un'ora di musica. "Space Shanties" è ricchissimo di sfaccettature, le sei tracce vanno a proporre una serie di aspetti che toccano diversi rami del genere rendendo il tutto davvero colmo di passaggi. Il trio milanese composto da Andrea (chitarra), Alberto (basso) e Teo (batteria) si propone navigando i mari della psichedelia, dello stoner e degli anni settanta arricchito da venature doom il quale va a chiudere il cerchio ad un album importante.

BIO:

King Bong was born in the year of VIII, the breed of one night of wild intercourse between the Universal Evil and the very principle of Life. The Beast has claimed the intergalactic throne as his own and has immediately set course on a path towards immortality.

Between 2008 and 2012 the band kept on refining their sound, based on live playing and improvising and mixing a wide range of influences, including sludge, doom, blues, funk, noise and everything that inspires the three acolytes. The first album is entitled “How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bong”, followed in 2010 by “Alice in Stonerland”. Both were warmly received by critics and the audience alike with great praise and are now sold-out.

At the end of 2012 King Bong sign for Moonlight Records and create “Space Shanties”, again recording live. The album is received with enthusiastic reviews and sales. The live shows bring the King on the stage with bands like Karma To Burn, Church Of Misery, Stoner Kebab, Obiat, Kadavar and Crippled Black Phoenix.

Today, the King is back with an even more ambitious work: a single 35 minute track, recorded live as usual and unraveling between doom, stoner and heavy psych, mixing many different influences. “Pinng - Or the Underwater Adventures of a Young Cthulhu” could be the perfect soundtrack to a Guillermo Del Toro movie.
