La frenesia dell'acquisto dei biglietti si è esaurita, ma la febbre da Festival e aggiornamenti di sicuro no!!!
Troviamo sul Forum ufficiale del Roadburn queste succulente novità:
all'11 dicembre questo il numero di gruppi che mancano da confermare per completare le lineup dei vari giorni
on friday, april 13th (voivod's curated event) we have to announce:
- 1 band for the main stage
- 1 band for the green room
- 1 band for stage one (a.k.a. bat cave)
on saturday, april 14th we have to announce:
1 band for the green room
1 band for the 600 capacity room
Che con la conferma di oggi dei Mars Red Sky si riduce a un solo gruppo...
on sunday, april 15th, the afterburner, we have to announce
1 band for the green room (this band will be announced in march)
Mancano ben pochi desideri da esprimere!!
Oggi, invece, leggo questa amara notizia: lo storico MIDI THEATRE verrà chiuso alla fine del 2011.
A quanto pare è stata una decisione del governo locale che dovrebbe cederlo a un'agenzia immobiliare. Perciò addio al Midi, il quale sarà chiuso e privato della corrente, fino a nuova destinazione (e al nostro primo Roadburn non avremo nemmeno l'onore di visitarlo!!!)
Al suo posto verrà adibita a concert hall una venue a pochi passi dal nostro amato Poppodium 013, al piano terra della quale sarà allestita una zona bar, mentre al primo piano c'è questo ampio spazio da 600 posti che pare trasudi 1900 da tutte le pareti in quanto PARTE DI UNA CHIESA!!
Ecco le parole degli organizzatori, tramite le quali potrete verificare la notizia da voi:
"more info on it very soon! the midi theatre will be shut down by the local government at the end of the year (crazy, fucked up politics, as the midi will be sold to a property developer or something). we'll have an amazing 600 capacity venue, located directly across the 013 venue. we never realized it was there, right in front of us, and before or own eyes. many of you have even sat down on its doorsteps to relax.[...] it's indeed a fuckin' shame about the midi. the situation is really weird as nobody really knows what's going to happen with the theatre after december 31st (the local government will close it down, and cut off the power -apparently a real estate developer wants to buy it, but there's no actual info).
the new venue will be amazing, too. (i was totally overwhelmed when i was there a couple of weeks ago) it's huge and spacious -- the room down stairs is huge, and has an amazing bar etc etc, upstairs there's the 600 capacity room, which oozes a real, early 1900's vibe (as it's part of a church). it's gonna be amazing! [...]it's not a real church, it's part of the entire church peremesis"
