LORD DYING: Nuovo tour europeo

I Lord Dying sono pronti ad iniziare un lungo tour europeo di supporto ai Cancer Bats ed il tutto a quasi un anno di distanza dall'uscita del loro ultimo album studio "Poisoned Altars".

Al momento è stata confermata una sola data nel nostro paese e precisamente al Lo-Fi di Milano il 12 Febbraio.

LORD DYING: Online il nuovo video di "Poisoned Altars"

Finalmente è online il nuovo video dei Lord Dying, band sludge dell'Oregon di cui si sta parlando molto ultimamente. Poche ore fa hanno diffuso, tramite il canale youtube della loro etichetta  Relapse Records, il primo video realizzato per "Poisoned Altars" traccia contenuta nell'ultimo e sorprendente album dall'ononimo nome "Poisoned Altars", pubblicato il 27 gennaio e di cui potete leggere la nostra recensione QUI.

LORD DYING: Poisoned Altars (Review)

SLUDGE

Non dal solo South proviene lo sludge.

E questo lo dimostrano i Lord Dying, band proveniente dall’Oregon, terra ricca di fiumi, boschi e terre incontaminate (e di castori, tanto da essere stata soprannominata “Beaver State”, lo “stato dei castori” appunto). Il nome del paese da cui i nostri sono emersi ha però un’altra storia. Esso deriverebbe infatti dal francese “ouragan” (uragano), epiteto che i cacciatori di pellicce francesi avrebbero dato al fiume Columbia per via delle sue acque assai impetuose. A sua volta, questo termine sarebbe stato ereditato dallo spagnolo “huracán”: Huracan era anche il dio del vento e delle tempeste nella mitologia maya, colui che personificava lo spirito vitale della creazione, nonché il dio che inviò sulla terra il “Gran Diluvio”.

Così come la “dea” Katrina ha riversato tutta la sua furia su un’intera regione, la Louisiana, spazzando via gran parte della sua capitale, così l’Oregon conosce i venti impetuosi e selvaggi che percorrono le sue vaste distese, contornate da montagne e altipiani. Il nord e il sud americano, profondamente diversi per mentalità, si ritrovano legati insieme da questo doppio filo, invisibile come il vento ma potente come un uragano.

LORD DYING: Rilasciato un nuovo brano in streaming tratto da "Poisoned Altars"

I Lord Dying diffondono in streaming il brano "Offering Pain (And An Open Minded Center)" quinto brano in scaletta, proveniente dal nuovo ed attesissimo album Poisoned Altars per cui l'uscita ufficiale in Europa è prevista per la settimana prossima (26 Gennaio).

La nuova fatica della potente band, verrà diffusa tramite l'etichetta Relapse Records e sarà pubblicata in formato LP (Silver/Blue/Black) e Compact Disc, vi segnaliamo inoltre che è già disponibile il pre-order online, dal sito ufficiale di Relapse Records.

LORD DYING: Novità sul nuovo album

I Lord Dying hanno completato le registrazioni del loro nuovo album "Poisoned Altars" e attualmente si trovano in tour nella West Coast assieme ai Castle.

Il nuovo album è stato registrato da Joel Grind all' Audiosiege Studios di Portland e sarà pubblicato il 23 Gennaio  in GAS, Benelux e Finlandia ed il 26 Gennaio nel resto d'Europa via Relapse Records. Oggi è stato rivelato l'artwork, la tacklist ed un video trailer su YouTube che vi riportiamo puntualmente qui sotto.

LORD DYING: Entrano in studio per la registrazione del nuovo album

I Lord Dying entrano in studio per le registrazioni del successore di "Summoning the Faithless", loro album di debutto via Relapse Records.

Il disco sarà prodotto e registrato da Joel Grind e masterizzato da Brad Boatright all' Audio Siege Studios di Portland. 

L'album conterrà otto brani ricchi di potenti riff e vedrà al suo interno la partecipazione del nuovo batterista Rob Shaffer (Dark Castle, Monarch) e il tutto dovrebbe essere pronto per quest'inverno.

RED FANG: Parte il tour Europeo e live al Late Show di David Letterman

Chi li ha visti almeno una volta dal vivo non può che ritenerli una droga e quindi non possiamo esimerci da ricordare che questo fine settimana parte il tour Europeo dei Red Fang.

La band sarà spalleggiata da Lord Dying e The Shrine e il tutto partirà da Svizzera e Francia ma toccheranno anche il nostro paese alla fine di Gennaio. Per avere un quadro completo delle date della band potete cliccare QUI.

LORD DYING: Firmano per Relapse Records

Nuova band che entra a far parte del roster di Relapse Records e si tratta dei Lord Dying. La band di Portland formata da (E. Olson-guitar/vocals, D. Capuano-bass, J. Reid-drums/vocals & C. Evans-guitar) è veterana nell'ambito Heavy. La band ha terminato le registrazioni del nuovo album a settembre assieme a Sanford Parker (NACHTMYSTIUM, YOB, RWAKE) e vedrà la luce la prossima estate sotto Relapse Records. La band ha ottenuto anche una bella reputazione sotto il profilo live spalleggiando i compagni di etichetta Red Fang e Black Tusk oltre ad essere un sostegno diretto per il duo dei Black Cobra. Dal 22 Gennaio partiranno con una serie di spettacoli assieme a Down e Warbeast. Ve ne diamo un assaggio qui sotto.

LORD DYING

BIO:

Lord Dying come from Portland, Oregon, a place over abundant with purveyors of the heavy riff. A region where the inhabitants are plagued with nerve and joint damage due to lack of sunlight. In a time where everyone is trying to out-sludge or out-doom each other Lord Dying gives something less than a fuck. They are a metal band with members of Black Elk , Portals, Le Force, Dark Castle, and Monarch. Who in their short, one years time as a band have shared the stage with Unsane, Red Fang, Yob, Valient Thorr, and others locally. They have toured in the US with Danava, Lecherous Gaze, Black Cobra, Gaza, Witch Mountain, Red Fang, Black Tusk, Down, and Ghost. This lead to their signing with Relapse Records where they put out their debut album "Summon the Faithless" in the Summer of '13. Upon its release the boys hit the road in the US for 5 weeks with label mates Howl. This was quickly followed by another 5 week tour of the US with Valient Thorr and Ramming Speed. After a successful headlining tour down to Austin where they took part in Phil Anselmo's Housecore Horror Film Festival the guys layed low for a couple months to write a follow up to 'Summon. In January '14 Lord Dying went to Europe for the first time as support for Red Fang and The Shrine. They followed this with a successful headlining tour of the US in February back to back with another European tour during March/April with Red Fang and The Shrine only to end with an appearance at the highly coveted Roadburn Festival in Tilburg NL. Upon their return to the US longtime drummer Jon Reid quit the band and they recruited Rob Shaffer of Dark Castle/Monarch who was happy to do it. Two weeks later the entered the studio to record their sophomore album with Joel Grind of Toxic Holocaust at the helm, that will be released shortly after. Lord Dying are here to pummel with heavy riffs and promote simpler things like Cold brew-Hot Shower.
